The Site
Here’s the thing: We LOVE Portland. We think Portland, Oregon is just about the finest city on the face of the earth. We’re just more than a little frustrated in the path that Portland seems to be taking to become a “big city” and we can’t keep quiet about it anymore.
Portland is unique, funky and friendly and we’d like to keep it that way.
So why claim “Portland sucks”? Simple. There seems to be a movement among both the local media and certain companies and individuals to strip Portland of the very things that make it one of the coolest cities in the US. We’re sick of Portland being thought of (and thinking of itself) as Seattle’s little step-sister or a retreat for Californians who couldn’t make their way in their own damn state. Portland, and many of its businesses and residents, have so much more to offer than that.
Yes, we love Portland and we’re o.k. with change – just as long as the change doesn’t ruin the very qualities that make Portland great to begin with.
The content of this blog/website is meant strictly as parody unless otherwise noted.
What does this mean?
In a nutshell it means that we’re not a news organization and we don’t report facts. In fact, we don’t “report” at all. We simply express our opinions – positive and negative, pro and con, for and against. We are not racists, homophobes, or sexists. We believe that all people are equally capable of being stupid regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or the color of their skin.
Ultimately, we’re here to entertain. If you don’t agree with us and our thoughts and viewpoints, fine – don’t read our site and don’t listen to our live shows or podcasts. It’s ok to think differently, that’s what makes us all so gosh darn unique.
