Half of me is sad. My stomach hurts, and I’m feeling like I just lost my best friends. I have an almost overwhelming sense of loss.
Half of me is pissed off. I feel lied to by Alpha Broadcasting – their promise to make Portland radio something better than it used to be ended up being nothing but bullshit.
And now they’ve terminated the employment of the two most talented people on the airwaves in this town. Cort and Fatboy will be missed.
We at Portland Sucks and PDX.FM would like to cordially invite you to express your anger, your sadness, your fondest memories – because we know that you loved listening to Cort and Fatboy every day too. We’ve set up a voicemail line at 503.928.5174 and encourage you to tell KUFO and Alpha Broadcasting how you feel – or, if being pissy isn’t your thing, tell us how much you’ll miss Cort and Fatboy. We don’t need your names if you don’t want to give them but we do want your thoughts and opinions.
In the meantime, thank you Cort and Fatboy, from all of us here at PDX.FM / Portland Sucks – you gave us hope that radio could still be cool despite all of the bullshit.

Looks like Rick Emerson is going off as well. They killed him when he was moved to the morning shift. After all, Sarah’s night time antics made for hours of entertainment.

I’d call and leave a long foul mouthed rant letting them know how pissed I am but I’m trying to save my voice for the show tonight. Stupid fucking cold makes it impossible for me to properly rant and rail.

My two reasons for ever listening for KUFO are gone. I’d listen to Rick in the morning on my way to work, and I’d listen to Cort and Fatboy on my way home from work. It was PERFECT. F*** KUFO or Alpha Entertainment or whoever made that decision. I predict a whole format change soon, which SUCKS.
You know I kinda like the new morning show but come 3pm, there is NO replacing Cort and Fatboy!! This sucks!
The only ting I liked more than listening to them on the radio was hanging out at the Bagdad for the midnight movie. I sent an email to Alpha telling them where they can stick thier new stations. Is it just me or does this “Ricker” guy sound like the stoner from Fastime at Richmont High? Cort, Fatboy if you see this, I love you guy. Hope you land somewhere great, you deserve it.

I really feel like KUFO has shit on my friends, though I don’t really know you beyond the few midnight movies i’ve attended. Cort and fatboy were BY FAR the best part of kufo. I will never listen to kufo again. They were so funny, whitty, and entertaining. Portland hasn’t had good radio banter except Adam Corolla and Cort and Fatboy. Now there is nothing. Back to the ipod
I moved here from Seattle (know all about Ricker) a year ago……loved Cort and Fatboy, they made me feel smarter. Ricker on the other hand makes me feel stupider……..
The new line up sucks major ass! KUFO seems to think that only stupid white trash drug abusing idiots listen to their show. I’ve moved around alot and have never heard worse DJ’s.

Marconi ain’t that terrible. At least he remembers his friends. I never liked Emerson to begin with and the Cort and Fatboy Roberts media suck train turns me off. I wonder how shitty it is for Robert to ask them on his show and even make a show dedicated to them getting fired and they don’t even give him a shout out.
