Once again I’m thinking that we need to post “rules” for each Top 5 List. When we say “radio” we mean that terrestrial broadcast signal that plays through that bitchin’ hi-fi in your 1976 Mercury Capri. You know, the one with the knobs that you use to control what you’re listening to? We don’t mean anything that you get over the Internet – whether it’s streamed, podcast, or otherwise.
Without further ado, here’s what our listeners picked as the Top 5 Radio Personalities in Portland – Working or Not, Dead or Alive, AM or FM, Modern or Classic, etc:
5. Tara Dublin – Gone but hardly forgotten eh? Tara ALMOST made fourth place, proving that management at a particular station in Portland really ain’t the brightest.
4. Rick Emerson – KUFO. One of the best things to ever come out of Kennewick, Washington? Probably. Can you name anyone or anything else good that ever came from Kennewick, Washington? I didn’t think so.
3. Gustav – KNRK. Gustav. One name. Like Cher. Or Bono.
2. Cort and Fatboy – KUFO. I think it goes without saying that these guys have the best live radio to podcast show in town, at least in my opinion anyway… Hopefully that still means something. It never did? Oh. Well, listen to them anyway.
1. John Strong – 95.5 The Game. It was very close but John Strong pulled away with the win by less than a dozen votes – insert Timbers Army chant here.
