So last week we had listeners and readers (mostly listeners) send us their favorite blogs. We were blown away by the response to say the least, over 2,000 of you sent us your favorites and a few of you actually bothered to tell us why. I promised to post the list but was beaten to the punch by Dave, and who could blame him? His blog landed at #1 after all. Why did we ask? A very short backstory… Sabrina and I get asked the same two questions quite a bit:
1. What blogs do you guys read? I’ll address this below.
2. How come Sabrina doesn’t blog on pdxsucks.com? Because she’s usually too damn busy. We’re changing that though, more guest bloggers are comin’ and Sabrina will be one of them, guaranteed.
So to the first question, what do we read? Chances are, if I go to a blog on a regular basis at all, it’s listed in the “Links That Don’t Suck” section of the sidebar down there – scroll down, look right. This isn’t always the most up to date thing in the world and it’s definitely not the end-all list, but it’s a good start. That said, I occasionally like to point out blog-writing excellence on a post by post basis too – hence the “Nifty Blog Round-Up” – let’s start today shall we?
Here’s some stuff from this past week I thought was pretty much the cat’s meow:
- “Legalize It!” – Tara’s Rants and Raves
- “the gillette fusion power is for dads – not moms” – NuPoppa
- “Portland Local Media Roundup: Nicey Wicey!” – I’m in your water. (extra credit for uncovering the shocking truth about me and Matt Davis, I’m the one on the right in the pic).
I’m sure there’s more that I forgot but it was a long, long week…

Thanks for putting me on the short list! I meant to tell you, your graphic of the Sounders guy getting arrested at PGE was of an eloquence I couldn’t hope to achieve. Also, it made me blow coffee out of my nose.
Message to Sabrina. I like the sound of your voice on the podcast (yours too RrrrW, so don’t go getting all huffy with Ms Miller).
Sabrina, I happened to be a chick who attended the Coldplay concert last night. Exceptional. Possibly life changing. You can park at Salmon Creek and bus in and beat the traffic nightmare Don’t take my word for it.
Coldplay in concert is beyond what I’m capable with words. Posting here because I saw it on Miller’s twitter, and I’m not into da Tweetie Pie thingee………….I won’t make this a habit though. Only for Coldplay.
