It should never have been considered in the first place. It wasn’t worthy of deliberation. Surprisingly, someone around here did the right thing for a change. As I spouted off just this morning on the live radio show and podcast, Kimberly Horenstein – make that ADMITTED CHILD MOLESTER Kimberly Horenstein – was seeking to regain her teaching license after confessing to sexually molesting two young girls in 2005.
This afternoon the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission DENIED her request, acknowledging (though not in so many words) that Kimberly is a sick fucking bitch and should never EVER be allowed around a classroom EVER again. Despite the fuckheads that have supported her, despite this regions bleeding heart attitudes toward rehabilitating damn near everyone, it’s now official. Your child-touching days are over – at least in a classroom setting anyway.
My highest praises to the folks that made this UNANIMOUS DECISION for doing the right thing and saying FUCK NO. It would appear though that my fears here weren’t entirely unfounded as this little gem of a quote from Oregonlive.com would demonstrate:
“I suppose the standards for certain licenses, like teaching, can be higher than legal standards for convicting a crime. But this was twenty five years ago. Whatever happened to the statute of limitations, or doing your time and getting re-integrated into society? When it comes to certain taboos, like kids, we’ve decided people must be permanently punished for any transgression, even if (in this case) there’s no legal standing for a conviction.”
See what I mean? Find a sicko and somewhere out there you’ll find an Oregonian that will forgive them for whatever sick sicko shit they’ve done. People that write crap like this piss me off.

Common sense and decency prevail!
what a bitch
she made some bad decisions but it did not occur in 2005 as your blog states, but rather in the late 70’s early 80’s when she, kim, was 20 something. doesn’t make it right but makes it different than what you misstate.
lupin
I didn’t state that it happened in 2005, I stated that she confessed in 2005.
