On Thursday, Seattle based Fisher Communications (KATU’s baby-daddy, also daddy to several other illegitimate children: KOMO in Seattle, KBCI in Boise, etc.) announced that their wonderful programming can no longer be seen via Dish Networks because they (Fisher) feel that they deserve more money and Dish Networks doesn’t want to pay them any more than they pay anyone else.
In a stunning turn of events, Pacific Northwest Dish Networks subscribers everywhere let out a collective yawn and proceeded to download various bittorrent softwares to make sure that they didn’t miss out on this weeks must see episodes of “Million Dollar Password” and “Survivor Ponderosa”.
Rob Dunlop, Fisher’s Senior Vice President of Operations, said “We regret any inconvenience DISH Network viewers may experience as they look for other options in order to watch our stations.” — HAHAHAHA!!! Yes Rob, because I’m going to change my television provider just to watch the blithering fucktards on KATU News – oh wait, I might miss that other nugget of dogshit, AM Northwest – Oh no! Whatever will I do? Simple. I’ll watch something else. Moron.
In a statement pulled directly from the Fisher website – “In 2006, Fisher Communications became profitable from continuing operations for the first time in five years. “ … Gee Rob, if your company didn’t make a profit for five straight years maybe it isn’t the brightest thing in the world to lose all of those viewers?
