Leave it to the Portland area to be overly cautious about offending anyone. While it might still be appropriate to charge $35 for a fucking photo of your kid on Santa’s lap, it must not be appropriate to use traditional holiday colors in the Washington Square Mall holiday shopping rape wreath. Instead of good ol’ Red and Green we now get a cornucopia of My Little Pony colors (pinks, white, blue, orange, etc.) in the wreaths hanging in front of the major department stores now (see photo).
I guess this is supposed to make Macy’s et. al. seem like Jew and Kwanzaa friendly places to shop too? How thoughtful….
