And it’s time once again for Portlanders (and Oregonians) everywhere to put their money where their mouths have been this past year. Tomorrow is election day and I’m particularly interested to see what the local voter turnout will be seeing as how my beloved State of Oregon was pretty much the end of the line for my candidate of choice a few months back.
So tomorrow we Oregonians, with our white guilt in tow, head off to vote for Barack Obama. I won’t be joining you unfortunately as I need to work for a living and right now my closet semi-right wing views have produced an abundance of work for myself and my company. That’s right, while you’re busily patting yourself on the back for being oh so smart and voting for the man who can actually raise his hands in victory, I’ll be working my white ass off in an effort to make my $249,990.00 for the year.
Oh joy … more social programs for everyone. I can hardly wait. But at least Obama does represent one very large change for the United States – there should be far fewer “Dumbshit President Quotes” calendars next Christmas.
